Book 2 of the Rocky Mountain series, The Farmhouse, is well written。 It demonstrates a wonderful descriptive way of assisting the reader to connect with the ranch and the characters involved in the story。 The reader feels as though they are there on the ranch, meeting the characters and becoming involved in their intermixed relationships。 It was a great respite from city life。 Author Jessie Kelley definitely has a good series in this one! Bravo, Jessie。This book was sent at not cost to me。 This Book 2 of the Rocky Mountain series, The Farmhouse, is well written。 It demonstrates a wonderful descriptive way of assisting the reader to connect with the ranch and the characters involved in the story。 The reader feels as though they are there on the ranch, meeting the characters and becoming involved in their intermixed relationships。 It was a great respite from city life。 Author Jessie Kelley definitely has a good series in this one! The cast of major characters expand and Amanda”s mother takes ill。 I liked to see the cast of characters expand so that there can be more development of their characters。 Amanda is just starting to fully enjoy her newly discovered half-sister and the ranch they inherited jointly when she receives word of her mother’s falling ill。 You can feel her pain at the unknown as she’s still suffering from loss of her father。 It’s a totally relatable drama and residual mystery to read and enjoy。 I received The cast of major characters expand and Amanda”s mother takes ill。 I liked to see the cast of characters expand so that there can be more development of their characters。 Amanda is just starting to fully enjoy her newly discovered half-sister and the ranch they inherited jointly when she receives word of her mother’s falling ill。 You can feel her pain at the unknown as she’s still suffering from loss of her father。 It’s a totally relatable drama and residual mystery to read and enjoy。 I received a free ARC copy for an honest review。Sis 。。。more

Amanda and Lauren go to look at the farmhouse。As they begin to get to know each other better, they also fix up the farmhouse。I can't decide if two women who had never met and find out that they are sister would so easily come together。 Lauren never knew her father and Amanda adores her father。The story continues to flow well。 And we are introduced to friends of Lauren and Amanda。I think the only thing that gets to me, and it's minor is the use of terms like lift or measuring distance in metric, Amanda and Lauren go to look at the farmhouse。As they begin to get to know each other better, they also fix up the farmhouse。I can't decide if two women who had never met and find out that they are sister would so easily come together。 Lauren never knew her father and Amanda adores her father。The story continues to flow well。 And we are introduced to friends of Lauren and Amanda。I think the only thing that gets to me, and it's minor is the use of terms like lift or measuring distance in metric, which we don't use her in the US。 。。。more

This is the second book in the series。 I would recommend reading the first book so that you know what’s going on。 Yet, this one wasn’t too bad if you skip the first book, you just kind of miss some information, but you’re not left too much in the dark to not figure out what is going on。In this book we follow Amanda and Laura to the ranch that they were left by their dad。 They also invite some friends over since they have the extra space。Although the book is a short read, it still executes the ma This is the second book in the series。 I would recommend reading the first book so that you know what’s going on。 Yet, this one wasn’t too bad if you skip the first book, you just kind of miss some information, but you’re not left too much in the dark to not figure out what is going on。In this book we follow Amanda and Laura to the ranch that they were left by their dad。 They also invite some friends over since they have the extra space。Although the book is a short read, it still executes the main focus of the book。 This stays true to all the Jessie Kelley books so far。 The only problem with this is that we are left with cliffhangers, especially on those parts where you’re like into it cause the anticipation is just building, then it’s like… to be continued。Besides that, I’m liking this series so far。 However, the only thing that throws me off sometimes is how they speak for 20ish adults。 I don’t know how to explain it, but some times the dialogue just doesn’t seem realistic for their age, like too proper or like that’s what a person who is a lot older would say。 Don’t get me wrong it could be realistic, but maybe it’s just the where I live and also the people I know, they surely do not talk like that for that age。 This is just a small detail, it doesn’t really ruin the story or anything。 I just felt like pointing it out。I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

Wonderful。Good job Jessie。 Love family books。 Love unknown sisters。 I am so happy that these 2 women connect right away。 It shows how blood is so strong。 Love what they did to the farm。 I have so many ideas in my head if I had this dream come true。 Also Amanda deserves love。 Hate whats happening to her mom。

After discovering why Laura looks so familiar, Amanda and Laura go to see the ranch they have both inherited。 I loved reading about how easily and quickly their friendship developed。 The two of them go together so perfectly and I could tell they each found something they didn’t realize was missing。 This is a great book where even in a hard situation, you can find the light and make it through。*I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review。 All opinions are my own。
